Access to communication in the widest sense is access to knowledge, and that is vitally important for us. We do not need pity, nor do we need to be reminded that we are vulnerable. We must be treated as equals, and communication is the way we can “Louis Braille”

“They are not disables, but they are differently abled”

Introduction:

Louis Braille was visually impaired, but his creation Braille, known by his name, enabled blind people worldwide to read and write. They are the people who proved that it is not disability but one’s ability that counts.

Objectives of the project:

  1. Differently abled and their Educational rights
  2. Differently abled and their skill Development
  3. Differently abled and their Financial inclusion
  4. Differently abled and Accessibility

Let us see few problems faced by these students:

The other issues which are seen as a major barrier for inclusion are listed below:

  1. Children with disabilities remain invisible to the education system

2. Families are not supportive

3. Teachers lack training, leadership, knowledge and support to adapt curriculum

4. Poor quality education

5. Lack of public support for inclusion

6. Lack of accountability and monitoring mechanism

Research show that around 3% of our society focusses on other educational activities and only 1% on their vocational training which is really disappointing.

Some Famous Examples of Special abled People

  • Stephen Hawking
  • FDR
  • Ralph Braun
  • John Hockenberry
  • Marlee Matlin
  • Stevie Wonder
  • Frida Kahlo
  • Helen Kelle
  • Albert Einstein

Einstein was the great scientist of the twentieth century and notable physicist of all time. It was told that he had learning disability in his childhood. He could not talk till he was three and could not read till he was eight. Despite such problems he became the noble prize winner for his contribution to the Physics. His theory of relativity is considered as a revolutionary development of Physics

They just need a chance🥰

Conclusion:

I will conclude by saying that “Disability is a matter of perception. If you can do just one thing well, you’re needed by someone.” -Martina Navratilova. You just need to start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible. The human spirit is one of ability, perseverance and courage that no disability can steal away.
